Tied on a #6 2x, the Muddler Minnow can be fished wet or dry (with some help from your favorite floatant.) I'm thinking that this might be a good Northern Pike bait when they are skimming around in the shallow pockets in the wild rice and around the pads! We will see... when the ice is out and the dragonflies are perching.
